So you want to be an Air Cadet?

Air Cadets across Stoke, Staffordshire and the West Midlands take part in fun and challenging activities almost every weekend.

Would you like to try your hand at Flying, gliding, parachuting, climbing, shooting, expeditions, adventure training, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award? The list goes on. We guarantee that you won’t find the incredible combination of adventure, opportunity and fun that Air Cadets offers anywhere else, and with 32 Squadrons in Staffordshire alone we’re probably closer than you think.

Cadets all gain the same second-to-none experience where you can make lasting friendships and build upon your confidence, skills and achievements. If you’re aged between 12 and 17, then what have you got to lose?

Ready to join? Here’s the checklist:

The minimum joining age for the ATC is 12 and in Year 8 at school. The maximum age to join is 17. If you’re in this band, then great, move onto step 2…
We have 32 units across South Cheshire, Staffordshire and the Black Country and there are another 920 around the rest of the UK. So, take the time to use our squadron locator to find your nearest Staffs Wing squadron or visit the Air Cadets website.
The Air Cadets to some amazing activities: flying, gliding, target shooting, fieldcraft, rock climbing, kayaking, mountaineering, parachuting, engineering, visits overseas, the list goes on and on and on and on!
