Successful Summer Swynnerton

The second Summer Swynnerton camp was yet again a resounding success. Visited by Commandant Air Cadets, Air Commodore Gordon Moulds, MBE RAF, the camp gave more than 300 cadets the opportunity to choose from 20 activities taking place throughout the week. From shooting to archery, Duke of Edinburgh Gold Expeditions to first aid, the activities provided training for Staffordshire Wing's cadets.

Supported by 42 staff, the cadets also took part in many leadership activities including the ceremonial drill sessions.
"Swynnerton is hard work for us all," says Deputy Officer Commanding Staffordshire Wing, Squadron Leader Grant Kearns. "This camp is one of Staffordshire Wing's main annual activities. The number of cadets receiving awards at the end of the week demonstrates the enthusiasm and commitment shown by both cadets and staff throughout our Wing."
Photographs of the camp can be found in the gallery.
